Snapshots from Belize . . .

Well - here laying face-down on the beach for a week in Belize. The trip from Tucson was uneventful and including a brief flight from Belize City to Degraiga in a Cessna Caravan turboprop. Got to sit behind the pilot and coach him on the landing! :-)

Above is our little room - not much on amenitites (no TV, phone, radio and very marginal A/C - but livable).

The first two days we ventured out snorkling - trying out the new underwater housing for the Canon SD800 IS Point-and-Shoot I got specifically for this purpose. The camera is pretty cool - has Image Stablization and even an "underwater" white balance setting! Here are a few shots . . .

After that - I tried my hand at taking a few portraits of my daughter using a single off-camera 580EX speedlight - trying some of the techniques I learned from "the Strobist" (see my links). . . .

More to come!!!!!

Pretty pictures, Dave! You know, if I didn't know your wife, I'd wonder how your girls got to be so pretty! :-) I love all the underwater shots.
